Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role involves direct speech therapy services to children, including assessments, planning, and implementation of therapy programs tailored to each child's needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in pediatric speech disorders, a proactive approach to therapy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement targeted treatment plans based on individual client needs and goals.
- Regularly monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy.
- Utilize and be familiar with a variety of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies to enhance communication for non-verbal or minimally verbal children.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly children with Autism, language delays, and articulation deficits.
- Proficient in the use of AAC devices and strategies to support communication.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
